One of the major things that you should due when buying waterfront property is to check and see if the lake you are buying your land or your home on is a constant level lake. If it isn’t, then the levels of the water in the lake could vary wildly, which could open you up to flooding.

Dallas Texas lakefront real estate is also more at risk than other types of properties for things such as having undermaintained roads and less access to amenities. You should check out the availability of such things, and also have conversations with neighbors about the conditions of the area and of their properties.
